Privacy Policy

Introduction
Adam's Notebook is a personal blog operated by Adam Lohnes. I collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what data this site uses today, what I plan to add, and how third-party services fit in.
What This Site Uses Today
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts the site and may process standard request metadata (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in server logs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Forms (embedded contact form) — if you contact me through the contact page, your submission is handled by Google according to Google's privacy policy.
- Theme preference — I store your light/dark mode choice in your browser's
localStorage. This stays on your device and is not sent to me.
Analytics (Planned)
I plan to add Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site. When enabled, Google may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and referral source through cookies or similar technologies. I will update this policy and the date above when analytics goes live. Until then, I do not run first-party analytics on this site.

Information You Provide
The only way I collect information you choose to share is through the contact form. I do not operate a newsletter or account system on this site. Messages sent via the form are processed by Google; I receive only what you submit there.
Information Collected Automatically
Aside from Cloudflare hosting logs and the planned analytics described above, this site does not use first-party tracking. Embedded content (such as the Google Form iframe) may collect data according to the provider's own policies.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
- Theme preference — stored in
localStorage, not a cookie; used only to remember your display preference. - Google Forms — the embedded contact form may set third-party cookies when you interact with it.
- Google Analytics (planned) — when added, may use cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. I will revise this section when that happens.

I rely on reputable providers for hosting and form handling. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security of information you choose to send.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy when the site changes (for example, when analytics is enabled). Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
