Adam's Notebook

AI Content Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

My Approach to AI-Assisted Content

I write about artificial intelligence and use AI tools in my work. This policy describes how I use those tools on Adam's Notebook — including this site, which was rebuilt in 2026 with AI-assisted development (Astro, Cursor, and related tooling).

Human-Driven Ideas, AI-Enhanced Execution

The core ideas, opinions, perspectives, and experiences on this blog are mine. I use AI as an assistant in the creation process, not as the source of my thinking or values — comparable to spell-checkers, editors, or research aids writers have always used.

What I Use AI For

  • Drafting and editing: Grammar, clarity, structure, and readability
  • Formatting: Markdown, code blocks, and consistent layout
  • Idea expansion: Exploring angles on topics I have already framed
  • Development: Scaffolding, refactors, and debugging when building the site itself

What I Don't Use AI For

  • Core opinions and values — these remain entirely my own
  • Personal experiences — stories about my life and work are genuine
  • Original ideas — central arguments and concepts come from my thinking
  • Critical analysis — evaluations of tools and practices reflect my actual judgment

Tools I Use

In practice that often means Cursor, Claude, and other large language models for writing and code. The specific tools change; the principle does not: I review, edit, and take responsibility for what gets published.

My AI Collaboration Process

  1. Develop an idea through reflection, experience, or research
  2. Draft an outline or rough version in my own words
  3. Use AI to expand sections, suggest phrasing, or improve clarity
  4. Review all AI-assisted output for accuracy, voice, and intent
  5. Edit and revise substantially before publication
  6. Final human review before anything goes live

Older Posts

Posts migrated from the previous version of this site (2025 and earlier) were preserved with original publish dates. They predate this formal policy and may reflect varying levels of AI assistance. This policy describes my current practice; I am not retroactively rewriting the archive to match it.

This Site Itself

The 2026 rebuild of Adam's Notebook — layout, migration, deployment, and much of the implementation — was done with AI-assisted coding and documentation. That is consistent with how I work: AI accelerates execution; I set direction, make decisions, and ship the result.

Behind Every Post Is a Human

There is always a human (me) behind every post on this blog. AI may help me express ideas more clearly, but the substance reflects my voice and experience.

Transparency and Evolution

As AI tools evolve, so will my approach. I will update this policy when practices change meaningfully. For questions about how I use AI here, see the Privacy Policy for data handling and the contact form if you want to discuss further.
